Frequently Asked Questions
How do I join the club?
You can join by
attending one of our monthly meetings or by going to a tournament. Also,
check home page for links to e-mails for the club officers, who will
be happy to answer any questions you might have.
Do I have
to attend meetings to be a club member?
No. However, they
are a great place to meet other folks, learn more about bass fishing,
and chew the fat with other avid anglers.
How much
does it cost to join?
Dues for a standard
membership are $65. Of that money, $25 goes toward the club. $30 goes
to the BASS Federation National chapter (they provide our liability
insurance) and $5 goes to the BASS Federation California chapter. For
those under 16 years of age, dues are $40.
Do I have
to join the club to fish in your tournaments?
No. If you don't
join, though, your points will not count toward qualification for the
Tournament of Champions. Also, after you fish your first tournament
of the season with us, it will cost an extra $10.00 to fish.
How much
do tournaments cost?
The tournament entry
fee is $40.00 for club members. Of that money, $10.00 goes to the club
& the other $30.00 goes to 100% payout of the top finishers. For non-members,
the first time you fish with the club, the entry fee is the same - $40.00.
After that, it’s $50.00 (an extra $10) to enter.
What equipment
do I need to participate in a tournament?
Aside from the obvious
(tube, waders, fins, fishing equipment, etc.), you’ll need a livewell.
Many people use fish baskets or Follow-Me Bags. You can make one yourself,
too. Just make sure it’s big enough that the fish have room to
move around a little. If you want to make your own but don't know how,
post a question on our group page which can be found on the homepage. There are many experienced tubers
in our club and Bass-n-Tubes who will be happy to share information
with you.
What are
the rules?
Links that will
take you to all of the rules for fishing in our club and for qualifying for the Tournament of Champions
can be found on our homepage. Be sure to read and understand them before
fishing with us. If you have any questions, contact a club officer,
who can explain them in more detail.
