Kevin Marcheshi Dominates and Wins by 5 Pounds on Clear Lake!

The 2nd stop of the 2015 tour with the Sonoma County Belly Boat Bass club is completed. 23 angler showed up at California’s famed Clear Lake to see who would be the winner of the oldest float tube club in the world. The date was March 15th, the blast off was at the Oaks launch ramp, and time was 6:15am. The weather was overcast and warm with water temps 59-63 degrees. We had our runners permit but still most anglers stayed in the keys. Their was one angler who did use the runners permit and when he came back to the scales at 3:30pm, Kevin Marcheshi had a limit weighing 17.52 pounds and that was enough for 1st place. 2nd place was our treasure, photographer, and web master Mike Ayers with 12.96 pounds and big fish weighing 7.47 pounds. 3rd place goes to Matt Nyiri with 11.05 pounds. 4th was Bill Badding with 3 fish for 10.52 pounds, and his best finish ever. We rounded out the top five with Chris Quinones weighing in 10.40 pounds. Congratulations to all the top anglers!

We did great with our Redwood Empire food drive as 13 cans of food were donated at the awards ceremony. The angler who weighed in the least at this event was Deren Kozenko, Deren received a CatchemCaro custom JA Quick top water bait. Then once again we raffled off another new fishing rod. This time it was a sweet Dobyns Savvy 704 rod and lucky angler to win it was Mike Miller. The raffle was free of charge and brought to you by The CatchemCaro Bait Co. Congrats Mike and Deren, we hope everyone had fun and once again the officers ran a smooth show. And a special thanks goes out to DJ and Todd for donating their time and Rangers for our release boat. Its guys like them that do great things for the club just to help out a bunch of fishing nuts. Next tour stop is again at Clear Lake with the B-N-T club at their Open event. This is sure to be a blast as it always is.
