Jon
Graves Continues His Dominance And Takes Home the Classic Trophy!
Another
Sonoma County Belly Boat State Classic has come and gone. And as always
it was a great event for all. Two days of hard fishing, hot weather,
and summer camping makes for an enjoyable event weekend with the club.
This year’s Classic winner has been no stranger to the front stage
podium this year. He has shown his dominance on this year’s tournament
circuit with wins starting at the Delta in May and again at the Delta
in July. I’m talking about Jon Graves “Mr
Ukiah Jon”. He does it again with a huge win at this years State
Classic. Jon’s winning weight with 7 bass was 32.90 pounds anchored
by day two big fish of 7.34 lbs. Congratulations Jon on an impressive
win. Number three on the year and a 33 point lead for Angler of the
Year. 2nd place was Chris Lapoint with 8 fish for 31.10
pounds. 3rd place was Keven Marcheschi coming out after
a long lay-off and weighing in 8 fish for 29.77, “you still got
it Kevin” 4th place was Scbbbc founder Rich Caro
with a big day two and weighing in 26.90 pounds. 5th place goes to Mitch
Teman with a weight of 24.60. Rounding out the top 10 in the
money was 6th Christian Burns, 7th Bihn Phi,
8th Dave Sterntzke, 9th Dave Montaro,
and 10th Matt Nyiri. Congratulations to all the top
finisher. Also don’t want to forget Day 1 big fish winner Taylor
Capllia with a beautiful 7.21 largemouth. Special thank you
to everyone that help make this a successful event from our great Sponsors,
to all the officers and last but not least Laura and Mark for cooking
both Friday and Saturday night.
