Dave Sternitzke Dominates at Clear Lake!What a great first tournament of the 2010 season. 39 Elite Pontoon Bass Professionals showed up to the 2010 opener at Clear Lake. We had 47 fish caught on the day. It was really great to see some new faces and also to see the excitement buzzing through the parking lot.
It was another dominating win for Dave Sternitzke and he is continuing to march up the list of the top 160 pontoon fisherman. In second place was one of the new faces, James Carte who pulled out second place and coming in 3rd place was the 2009 rookie of the year, Matt Nyiri. Mike Ayers, Randy Kidd, Bill Sackett and Daniel Kinn rounded out the spots in the money. A big congratulations goes to Aaron Walker for finishing in 11th place in his first tournament with our club.
I wanted to thank Sean Hrebich for jumping in and taking pictures and Rebecca Duffany for helping with the entry of weights. There were some kind word sent my way about the smoothness of this tournament, and to be honest it was the officers around me who made it that way. We had 4 more memberships paid which brings our club membership total to 29 members. Remember that if you fished this tourney and you have not paid your dues you need to do it before you fish you next touney to get your points. All I can say is the Berryessa tourney can not come soon enough. Look for word to seeing everyone at the March meeting.
