Noah Steven's Clamis Victory
and Break's a Club Record at Lake Berryessa!
We started the first tournament of the year with a break in the weather.
Showing up at the lake there was a chill in the air but no rain in sight.
We had to share the launch ramp with what was suppose to be a small
club and ended up being over 40 boats strong, but I think everyone got
on the water in a timely manner. We had 35 of the of the Northern California's
best float tubers check-in with a few rookies. We had some old faces
and many new one show for the first tournament of the year. After all
the fish were weighed in, one angler came out on top. Noah Stevens came
out on top for the season opener of the 2009 season. Not only did he
beat the other 34 anglers, he did it with only 2 fish and he set a new
club big fish record 11.94lb and could possably go home with a brand
new g Loomis rod of his choice, courtesy of the outdoor pro shop for
the biggest fish of the year. 2nd place was Mike Casey with 7.88 lbs
and 3rd place was rookie Matt Nyiri with 7.84lbs. Lake Berryessa's capell
cove played hard to get for most during the season opener with only
21 people catching fish out of 35 anglers. What a way to kick of the
26 year of the SCBBBC with 35 anglers, we almost beat last years opener
that had 41 anglers at the windiest tournament ever at lake Sonoma.
Thanks to our new officers for a job well done.
