Another great Sonoma
County Belly Boat Bass Club Tournament Of Champions has been completed
along with a record breaking year. After ten months and ten tournaments
averaging 25 + anglers at each one we puller together the top third
of the worlds biggest and oldest float tube club. We went for a weekend
of tradition to one of the worlds best bass fishing locations, Clear
Lake, California. We couldn't have ordered better weather conditions
as it felt more like a warm spring weekend with temps in the mid 80s.
This is our 25th year at putting this SCBBBC TOC together at Clear Lake
and I can't remember a warmer weekend in November.
We
all checked in on the dead end road next to the Skylark at 5:00 AM sharp.
17 SCBBBC members ready to run with all there boats loaded and ready
to hit the shores of Clear Lake and try to catch some hogs. After the
day # 1 weigh-in it was Rolando Villanueva leading
the pack with 3 very lively fish that tipped the scales at 11.52 and
the days Big Fish at 4.96. Rolando took the walk with most of the SCBBBC
TOC gang to the T-N-T Restaurant. This walk is real nice when your leading
the pack of anglers that on any giving day can catch 20 pounds.
Day
# 2 was another very warm day with very little wind over the whole lake.
Once again it was Mr Villanueva with the nice limit of 3 fish for 8.61
to clinch the victory and go home with $1000.00 for 1st place and a
free night stay at the Skylark. Rolando also won $100.00 for his day
# 1 Big Fish and another free stay at the Skylark. Congratulation Rolando
on qualifying through the second half points on your first year with
the SCBBBC and out fishing all 16 anglers when it really mattered. 2nd
place went to Mike Ayers with 18.49 and 3rd place goes
to Bihn Phi with 18.35.

go out to Mr. Bird for weighing in all the fish this year like he's
been doing it forever.Thanks to DJ Von Bima for helping out at the weigh-ins
too. Also thank you to Mr. Cahill for keeping the finances straight
all year. And thanks to Rebeca for crunching the numbers for us at the
weigh-ins. And thanks to all the other SCBBBC members for joining the
coolest fishing club around and making 2008 a fun fishing year. I would
like to thank Kevin at the Skylark Motel for making our stay there great!

Sternitzke Claim's 2008 Angler of the Year!
Mr. consistent does it again! Dave Sternitzke claims the 2008 Angler
of the Year for the 2nd time in 2 years, but this time there's no sharing
it with a co-angler of the year, It's all his. Dave beat out runner
up D.kozenko by a total of 29 pt's and was in command most of the season.
Dave had only one win this year on the tour but two 2nd place finishes
and a third was all he need as Mr consistent stayed sharp all year!
Congratulation Dave on a smashing year!
Dominc Doan is your 2008 Rookie of the Year!
Dominic was in a tight ROY race all year with Doug Tyler and need to
pull out a a better finish then Doug in the last tournament of the year
to claim the ROY trophy. Fishing his first year with the club Dominic
showed he's got what it takes to be a contender every time he is on
the water. Congratulations Dominic!
