Back Deck
Pro, Pat Wilson Claims Victory on Lake Sonoma
We made it
through the windiest day on the water in a long long time. We had 41
of northern California's best float tubers check-in. We had some old
face's and many new one's. After all the fish were weighed one angler
came out on top. Pat Wilson won the season opener in old school style
while fishing from an old round tube.No frills and a few chills as he
fished his way to victory using Jigs and drop shots in 30' of water
very slow. Not only did he beat 40 other anglers, he also caught the
#1 and #2 biggest fish of the tournament. He used Powell rods. Wind,
Rain, and much more. Lake Sonoma's Yorty creek played hard to get for
most during our season opener. What a way to kick off 25 years of the
SCBBBC with 41 anglers coming out to brave the extreme elements. Thanks
to our new officers for a job well done. And thanks to all that brought
canned foods. We collected 31 cans at this event. Last but not least
I would like to thank the rookies for 2008 for coming out and braving
the worst of the worst with the SCBBBC. I have been at this for 25 years
and this has to be the windiest tournament I have fished. Its all limits
and sunshine from here on out, I hope.
