Binh Phi
Claims Victory over 36 others at Highland Springs!
The
3rd stop of the 2008 Scbbbc circuit started off with frozen fishing
line and ice cubes for fishing pole eye's. It was down right cold in
the morning with temps dipping down into the twenties at blast off.
We had 36 Sonoma County Belly Boat Bass Club members shivering in the
water at Highland Springs at 6:00 AM ready to go. The fish also seemed
to be as cold as the anglers as the bite was tough as nails. Only two
limits came to the scale's. It was Bihn Phi who figured the pattern
out for big fish and was able to take home the win with 13.78lvs. and
Big Fish 7.64lbs. to claim 1st place. Congratulations Binh. In 2nd place
was Scott Beem who stayed on his game and was good enough for a second
place finish and one of only two limits. Scott had 11.52lbs. and 2nd
big fish, 4.83lbs. Bill Sweatt grabbed 3rd place with 3 fish weighing
in at 9.93lbs. In 4th place was Doug Tyler with 9.8lbs. Doug not only
is sitting in 3rd overall but has put himself in the lead for Rookie
of the Year. In 5th place was Jerrod Brendel with 8.85lbs to round out
the top 5. Great job all top 5 finishers. We paid down to 9th place
and first out of the money was Rich Caro. We also would like to welcome
two first timers fishing with us, Scbbbc members Gino Ippoliti and Mike
Deaz. Thanks again to all the anglers who brought canned food for our
Scbbbc 2008 food drive. It looks like we have about 60+ cans from the
Highland Springs tournament. Thanks again to every one for coming out
and playing in the cold. I would also like to thank the officers for
running a smooooooth show again. John Bird looks as if he's been at
this Tournament Director job for ever. Next up is the big US Open at
Clear Lake
