Matt Cahill
Wins at Clear Lake
There
were 23 members of the worlds largest and oldest float tube club waiting
to fish the world's best bass fishing water's on Sept 20th at 5:00AM.
All but a few had there boats loaded and ready to run legally to were
they thought the biggest three Clear Lake fish would be. This tournament
belonged to Matt Cahill as he came to the scales with the tournament's
largest bass at 6.5 and the biggest three fish limit that weighed in
at 000. He was followed closely by Dave Strenitzke. Big Dave snatched
second place with a three fish limit of 000 and he also had the day's
#2 big fish with a 000 toad. Third place went to ............ as he
weighed in three fish for 0000. Fourth place went to ........... and
he weighed in a limit of 000. Fifth place was ......... with a limit
of 000. The Todd Iwamoto just out of the money jig award went to Rich
Caro with three fish for 8.20. We would also like to welcome back Nick
and thank him for joining us at Clear Lake.
This was the 8th stop of the Sonoma County Belly Boat Bass Club's 2008
Charity tour. We have a good AOY race under way with Dave Sternitzke
looking for a repete in 08' Can he pull it off or will Doug Tyler move
in on the AOY 08'. The 2008 SCBBBC tour is proving to be a record breaking
year. With 47 member's and the states largest BASS Federation Nation
club rouster and with Pat Wilson going to the BFN Championship this
November 2008 and rapping up nicely. We are now at 481 cans of food
to help feed Sonoma County's hungry and needy people. The SCBBBC has
helped several charities over the years and I can't wait to see what
we can do in 2010 as we have a charity tour every other year. In 2008
we launched the first ever real team kick boat pilot tournament and
it sound's like it will grow in 2009 with three venues on three diffent
locations, Clear Lake , Delta and Berriessa.
Now it's time for the 24th SCBBBC State Classic. Once again we'll be
able to "RUN" with a DFG permit. What a year it's been.
Thanks
again to all the officers and members for making Clear Lake's Sept 20th
a blast.
Here
are the results from Clear Lake's Sept 20th event with our first ever
3 fish limit.
